The Juniper is an affordable multi-family rental housing development located near the Gladstone Prairie Savanna, Lake Phalen, and miles of scenic parks and trails in Maplewood, MN.  The Juniper opened in August 2025, a 65-unit housing development targeted to families with its mix of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom units. The Juniper also includes supportive housing units for High Priority Homeless and People with Disabilities, with services on-site for those residents.

Developer JB Vang has a longstanding working relationship with the Hmong American Partnership (HAP), an organization that focuses on empowering refugee and immigrant communities through its programming. Through this partnership, JB Vang incorporated specific feedback from focus groups of immigrant families into The Juniper’s design and amenities. In particular, multi-generational housing is encouraged at The Juniper.
