West Creek Apartments, located in Chaska, provides 18 furnished efficiency apartments for homeless youth, directly addressing the specialized housing needs of this demographic. Community Asset Foundation developed the project with their specific needs in mind, with supportive services provided by Scott Carver Dakota CAP Agency. In response to the unique needs of their younger clientele, the project team added a unit for in-house support staff which ensures that West Creek’s residents have access to assistance and guidance when issues arise outside of regular business hours.

West Creek also includes units that meet Minnesota Housing’s definition of High Priority Homeless and People with Disabilities. Even units that are not set aside for these specific populations have income and rent restrictions at 30% of area median income, allowing for homeless youth that do not qualify for Housing Support to access stable housing.
