The Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians has been awarded more than $2.7 million from the City of Minneapolis Affordable Housing Trust Fund for its development in Minneapolis. The Shoreview Area Housing Initiative (SAHI), a client of Landon Group, is partnering with a class of St. Paul College carpentry students to build a home for veteran Thomas Koop. Koop was diagnosed with PTSD after his 15-month tour in Afghanistan and was therefore unable to hold a job. With a long VA housing waiting list, Koop and his wife became homeless.
